The Day Rock ‘N’ Roll History Stood Still

December 4, 1956. Sun Studio, Memphis. Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins walked into the same room — and what happened next became one of the most mythologized moments in music history. An impromptu jam session, captured on tape, that the world would spend decades trying to hear in full.

Now you can. The Complete Million Dollar Quartet is the definitive 50th anniversary edition of that legendary session, presented for the first time in its complete original sequence — with 12 additional minutes of recordings never included in any previous release.

Why This Edition Is Essential

  • The most complete version ever released — 12 extra minutes beyond any prior edition
  • Presented in the original recorded sequence for the first time
  • 46 tracks spanning gospel, rock ‘n’ roll, country, and blues — a snapshot of American music at its most electric
  • Includes extended versions of Jesus Walked That Lonesome Valley and That’s My Desire with previously unreleased extra verses
  • A must-have for collectors of Elvis, Cash, Lewis, and Perkins — and anyone serious about rock ‘n’ roll history
  • Made in the USA

I am very pleased with the Million Dollar Quartet CD. I love hearing them talk during the jam session. The songs get better the more you listen. Overall, the sound is very good. This is a hard to find recording. Lots of entertainment with 47 tracks. I got a few for gifts.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! It's like being there in the studio with Elvis and his friends on that Dec. 1956 day. They were all having so much fun and Elvis is so young, happy, and innocent. JUST A PRICELESS CD!!
