The King's Soul, Laid Bare
Before the jumpsuits, before Vegas, before the world knew his name — there was Elvis and his faith. His Hand In Mine, released in 1960, was Elvis Presley's first full gospel album, and it remains one of the most deeply personal recordings of his career. These are the songs he grew up singing in church, performed with a reverence and warmth that no amount of fame could manufacture.
Now remastered in 2007, every note rings with renewed clarity — from the jubilant swing of Joshua Fit The Battle to the hushed tenderness of Take My Hand, Precious Lord. Put it on and you'll hear the man behind the myth.
Why This Album Matters
- Elvis' first gospel album — a cornerstone of his spiritual and artistic legacy
- 16 tracks, fully remastered (2007) — pristine sound from the original recordings
- Showcases the soulful, unguarded side of Elvis rarely heard in his rock 'n' roll catalog
- A meaningful gift for Elvis fans, gospel music lovers, and collectors alike

Since this music was first released, our family has loved it! The soulful way Elvis sings of his love for God/Jesus is awe inspiring. This fantastic entertainer could do it all. And his Gospel recordings prove it!
