Elvis trades his microphone for a six-shooter. Charro! is one of Elvis Presley's most distinctive films — a gritty, sun-scorched Western that showcases a darker, more dramatic side of the King rarely seen on screen.
Elvis stars as Jess Wade, a former outlaw trying to go straight in an untamed frontier land of stagecoach robberies, gunfights, and tumbleweed. But when his old gang frames him for stealing a cannon from Mexican revolutionary forces, Jess must fight to clear his name — and survive. Co-starring Ina Balin, Charro! is a must-own for Elvis fans and classic Western enthusiasts alike.

I agree with the other comments. This is an Elvis movie you do not want to miss. I think he did just as well as John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. Another movie he also did real well in as a western was Flaming Star. His outift he wore for this movie is on display across the street from Graceland. I absolutely Love this film.

I have seen all or most all of Elvis's movies. This is the only movie that is different. I love his singing, but he only sings the theme song in this movie. He acts and acts well. I is one of my favorite Elvis movies. If you like westerns, you will like this movie. If you like Elvis, you will like this movie. I can't say enough.

I Loved this movie! I'm a HUGE Elvis fan at only 15 yrs old, and I know that Elvis hated the musical movies Col. Tom Parker made him act in. I'd like to think Elvis liked doing this movie because it was a serious, no-singing, western movie. it pleased Elvis, and me!!!
