In June 1972, Elvis conquered New York. All four Madison Square Garden shows sold out instantly, and the rush-released live album moved a million copies in weeks. The New York Times called it "Like a Prince from Another Planet."

This 50th Anniversary FTD Edition celebrates those legendary shows with newly mixed versions of both the evening and afternoon shows by Memphian recording engineer Matt Ross-Spang, plus the original June 9 press conference recorded at the New York Hilton.
