The Memphis Sessions That Changed Everything.
In January and February of 1969, Elvis Presley walked into American Studios in Memphis and recorded what many consider the greatest comeback in rock and roll history. From Elvis in Memphis — the critically acclaimed June 1969 release — captured a raw, soulful Elvis the world hadn't heard in years.
This Legacy Edition 2-CD set brings together every track from those legendary sessions, newly remastered for the finest sound quality ever. From the haunting "Long Black Limousine" to the era-defining "In The Ghetto" and the unstoppable "Suspicious Minds," this is Elvis at his most honest, powerful, and real.

This is the best of the best from Elvis Presley. We finally get the 1969 Memphis sessions in great sound quality. There is not a bad track in this set. This set comes in an attractive package, featuring the original album covers/back covers and a few of the 45 record sleeves. The insert booklet has some great photos of Elvis in the studio in Memphis, and a few from Vegas during the summer of 1969. This release is intended for the general public, not for the die hard fans that are looking for alternate takes or rare live appearances. There is no new material in this set. Overall, highly recommended to anyone who is getting into Elvis for the first time or even the diehard fans (like myself) who have always wanted the 69' sessions in excellant sound quality!

Fantastic Album. I was not a big listener to this album in the past but the remaster has given me more respect for this body of work. Only problem is that it cost too much to purchase online. It is so much cheaper in the store.

A tremendous package, with a few exceptions. Yes it is nice to hear the original Mono cuts ; but the Stereo versions should have been included as well.

This release is fantastic. Elvis sounds better than ever! His voice control and range are superb. He has command and renewed energy in each song, which is SO evident in these tracks! A must for any Elvis fan. Keeping these songs true to original form, as they were recorded in 69-70 is a great idea. Ahhhhhhhhhh...sweet perfection!!!
