Clambake — The FTD Limited Edition That Gets It Right

First issued in October 1967, the Clambake soundtrack may not have been Elvis's most celebrated film album — but the bonus material most assuredly was. Tracks from the September 1967 Nashville sessions — Guitar Man, Just Call Me Lonesome, Big Boss Man, and You Don't Know Me — were the undisputed highlights, alongside The Girl I Never Loved and How Can You Lose What You Never Had. This is where Elvis was at his creative best, even when Hollywood wasn't keeping up.

This FTD limited edition 2-LP is modeled on the original UK release, complete with the iconic red dot RCA Victor label. Four sides of original soundtrack masters, studio outtakes, and bonus tracks — presented the way collectors expect.

Clambake , great release from FTD.

I love the release of Clambake , the only thing I would of changed is I would of had the cover photo changed to a shot of Elvis in the Clambake orange jacket as there are so many nice shots in the orange jacket & the original album featured one , maybe I am picky- picky as FTD did a very nice cover but when I think of Clambake , I think of Elvis in the orange jacket. I will say I think Elvis looked his best around this time , I look forward to more FTD movie releases.

    New Clambake FTD Release

New Clambake FTD Release is a must have. Elvis' voice is incredibly at this time of his life. Great selection of songs, but again, his voice is awesome. You'll enjoy listening to alternate takes on this album. It's as close to being a fly on the wall at the recording sessions. The artwork is also very impressive. Cover stayed true to the original but this is a double album so it's different, in a good way, a very good way.
