As expected from an audience recording, the sound is not excellent but better than one might expect. On the plus side, the audience response adds to the excitement. Elvis is in a good mood, enjoying himself, which adds to the listener's enjoyment. Although Elvis was not as good as during 1969 - 1973, he still provides a good concert and one that is longer than usual. He seems to get better as the concert progresses. Especially good are My Way, Hurt, Are You Lonesome Tonight?, Little Sister, and a rare performance of Rags to Riches.

What an INCREDIBLE concert!!!!! E is in top form & rocking in the new year with some 16,000 plus fans. The quality of the recording isn't the best; but the timing of the concert & the amazing performance far outweigh that. It is a must, must have for a true Elvis fan & if RCA could somehow find a soundboard recording of this someday; that would be absolutely the best.

Who cares if it's NOT a soundboard?? This was one of the BEST shows of 1976, in line with Dallas & Birmingham on the same tour! Compare this concert by Elvis to 1975 's NYE in Pontiac? NO comparison. Pontiac SUCKED, was shorter, vibes weren't right, and Elvis didn't seem to be enjoying himself as he did in Pittsburgh! Lots of songs from 1960 ( s ) comeback sessions from the army!

"BIG BOSS MAN", "FAIRYTALE", "MY WAY", "ARE YOU LONESOME, TONIGHT? ", "RECONSIDER BABY", " RAGS TO RICHES" , "UNCHAINED MELODY" --all in 1 concert and one of the best of 1976!!!!! I had the bootleg record version many years ago but NOT in this sound quality. This is great!!! Now, having said this, the Dallas show from Dec. 28 and Birmingham show from Dec. 29 , 1976 would be great follow-up cds!!!!!! thanks for all these FTD

wow....just listened to this historic cd and I am sounds great and the new year energy is electric. His spirits are extremely high and the song set is great...including the rare live performance of Rags to Riches.though it is an audience recording the sound quality is still preserves the history of the moment. It is wild to listen to an Elvis concert from the fans perspective.AWESOME.thank you FTD for preserving this.thank you Shopelvis for giving us an opportunity to own this treasure.
