ELVIS Rockin Across Texas FTD CD and Book
Released April 1st. 2005 FTD’s next special book/CD combination entitled Rocking Across Texas. The book is by Stanley Oberst. New stories, updated old stories and some especially rare photographs are featured. Accompanying the book will be two Elvis concert “soundboard” recordings (informally recorded from the concert sound system): the June 19, 1974 show in Amarillo, Texas and the July 3, 1976 show in Fort Worth, Texas. There’s also a short, previously unreleased 1960 interview recording with Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Just a quick review here., I LOVE this cd release for alot of reasons..But, even though I'm NOT a fan of the Jan.-July '74 tours, this show from Amarillo is quite xciting to listen to! I love it! The show from Ft. Worth isn't bad either and you get alot of great pictures in the book as well as good , trivia info. The price is well deserved and worth every penny (see my review of the LA BOOK CD) for comparison. YOU NEED THIS CD as part of your collection. Well-done FTD , although I think there could be a Volume 2 of this, maybe a complete show from DALLAS: Nov. 13, 1971 & FT. WORTH: June 20, 1972 ?Post Review
