Bobsday (8/29/2011)

Ok, if you are a collector or want to understand Elvis Presley, you need this show. His vocals are a bit weak but he busts his butt for the fans. He enjoyed Hurt but the toss in of Return To Sender is NOT a good add on. He does not get the lyrics cor ... more >

Brings back memories. I attended this show. Great sound. In my opinion the best sound quality so far from FTD. However, Elvis sounds tired.

James (12/16/2009)

It was my first concert and it's great to hear this show again after 30+ years. Elvis seems to be in good spirits. While the set list is pretty standard for this particular tour, Elvis turns in some nice performances (Love Letters, Hurt & Hawaiian ... more >

The sound quality is very good on this soundboard recording. Elvis sounds tired and his voice seems to be a little strained during much of this concert. Overall it's a good show. Elvis does his best to please his fans and talks some between songs. It ... more >

Elvis Presley: Another Saturday Night FTD CD
If one place is to be picked as the most important in the career of Elvis, it is without doubt Shreveport in the northwest part of Louisiana. The exposure that Elvis got through the radio broadcast of The Louisiana Hayride in 1954-56 was one of the key factors of establishing the early part of his career. With the exception of Las Vegas, there is no place where Elvis played more shows, and his return to the city in 1975 was like a homecoming to both Elvis and the many fans he had there since he started out. We have chosen to release the soundboard from the evening show of June 7 – definitely a show that Elvis and the audience truly enjoy, and with a great set list featuring old and new favourites. The CD comes in a 5" digipack with an eight-page booklet featuring photos from the June 1975 tour.

Elvis Presley: 3000 South Paradise Road FTD CD
This 7" 2-disc release with a 16-page booklet takes a closer look at Elvis' engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton in August, 1972. The first disc is a soundboard recording from the dinner show on August 12, while the second disc features rehearsals from August 4th, 6 hours before the opening night of the engagement. The audio on disc 2 was recorded on a personal tape recorder so the sound quality is below standard, but historical significance more than compensates for its quality. As with "48 HOURS TO MEMPHIS", this release has been prepared by Robert Frieser and Hans Slebos, who once again has done a fabulous job of collecting information and materials for the project. There will be additional information in the next few weeks. "3000 South Paradise Road" provides a unique experience of Elvis rehearsing, 6 hours before the opening night at the Las Vegas Hilton on August 4, 1972. As disc 2 is captured on a personal tape recorder, the sonic quality is below standards, but historical significance more than compensates for its audio limitations. Disc 1 is a soundboard recording.
