Elvis - Live In Vegas features a great complete concert from Elvis' opening Vegas season in 1969. Elvis received critical acclaim for these shows and now this official release of the August 26, Dinner Show makes it available for fans around the world. Ann Moses was a correspondent for NME and Tiger Beat publications during this magic time and she had the good fortune to meet Elvis and report on the shows. Her unique photos from this season are featured in the package, some published for the first time. The booklet also includes a unique essay written by Ann. 5" Digi-Pack with 12 page colour booklet.

A collection of stage rehearsals from 1970, 1972 and 1973 recorded at the International Hotel, Las Vegas (later renamed The Las Vegas Hilton). 5" digipack.

In 1973, Elvis booked sessions at Memphis' famous Stax Studios, where Booker T. & the MGs, Otis Redding, and numerous other soul stars had recorded hits. Unfortunately, initial efforts to have Elvis work with the Stax stable of musicians yielded few usable tracks, and Elvis soon called in his stage band to finish the sessions. The results can be heard on the albums Good Times, Raised On Rock, and Promised Land. Like most of Elvis' 70s recordings, Promised Land is an eclectic mix reflecting Elvis' many musical enthusiasms. The ten songs that make up this album run the gamut from country heartbreak songs ('There's a Honky Tonk Angel', 'Mr. Songman') to carnal white funk ('If You Talk in Your Sleep') to heartfelt gospel ('Help Me') to schmaltzy pop ('Love Song of the Year', 'It's Midnight'). While the performances on Promised Land are uniformly excellent, the material is a mixed bag of strong material and throwaways. This 5” digipack release covers Elvis’ engagement at The Las Vegas Hilton in January-February, 1972. RCA did not record entire shows, and several of the new songs Elvis had added to his shows were only recorded once. The consequence is that the main body of the CD – the RCA recordings – feature several previously released versions. Soundboard (informal) recordings of other song performances during the engagement were added to the end of the disc in order to make this as representative as possible of Elvis’ repertoire at that time.
