Elvis Unchained Melody FTD CD
[+] enlarge image

"Unchained Melody" is a soundboard recording from February 20, 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Included are bonus songs from the same tour. For unknown reasons, the engineer never recorded the beginning of the shows on this tour, and consequently the CD starts with "Love Me."

Hi friends! This cd from Feb. '77 in Charlotte is a good one! It features alot of good, rare stuff: "MOODY BLUE", "WHY ME, LORD?", "MY WAY", "UNCHAINED MELODY" , and many others..What makes this cd so special to me, is that we don't have very many ... more >

Stephie (7/30/2009)

This concert is a good one! I don't understand why FTD didn't pull the first - 2 songs "See See Rider" & "I Got A Woman / Amen" from another concert from the 1977 tours and make notes on it. I give this a 3 - star because of that.

Elvis - Spring Tours 77 FTD CD
The producers were pleasantly surprised, as this material was finally located and catalogued. Recorded on a 4-track machine, the sound is definitely superior to the usual soundboard standard, and Elvis' performance is much better than the general expectations. As only selected songs were recorded, this CD does not attempt to be a concert. We hope that somewhat unusual sequence is going to present a refreshingly different live CD. Elvis An American Trilogy FTD CD
This 5” digipack release covers Elvis’ engagement at The Las Vegas Hilton in January-February, 1972. RCA did not record entire shows, and several of the new songs Elvis had added to his shows were only recorded once. The consequence is that the main body of the CD – the RCA recordings – feature several previously released versions. Soundboard (informal) recordings of other song performances during the engagement were added to the end of the disc in order to make this as representative as possible of Elvis’ repertoire at that time. Elvis - Dinner at Eight - A 1975 Vegas Recording FTD CD
The 19th release from the Follow That Dream series. This time, we were lucky to find, in private possession, a tape of Elvis' dinner show in Las Vegas on December 13, 1975. Different to most of what we call soundboards, this concert was recorded on a reel-to-reel tape, not the usual cassette. The show is still in mono though, and there are a few tape problems along the way, but in general sounds good. Click here for more about the FTD Music Label.
