Although he was heavily influenced by his attendance at The First Assembly of God Church in Tupelo and subsequently in Memphis, religious music came to Elvis in many different shapes and forms. As a teen, the King of Rock-n-Roll as we know him would sneak into churches to catch the lively music of a different musical heritage and the embracing congregations and uplifting sounds exposed Elvis to the multiple facets of religious music.

Beginning in 2000, with the cooperation of the Elvis Presley estate, artist Jeff Scott gained unlimited access to Elvis's personal artifacts to create a complex portrait of the music legend through his belongings.
